Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning, and m-learning are all terms for blended learning methodologies that are increasingly being used in various areas of education. The WhatsApp is application tool that is used to supplement face-to-face instruction and the utilisation of e-learning portals to further facilitate the learning process.

WhatsApp has been widely used as a learning tool in numerous institutions, particularly in basic schools. Here are some of WhatsApp's features and services that being useful for education learning :

  • Messages: This feature is used to send messages between educators and other students.

  • Group Chat: This feature can be used to create a group consisting of mobile phone numbers already registered in WhatsApp to make it easier for educators to communicate and inform students in the group.

  • WhatsApp Web and Desktop: WhatsApp can also be used by educators and students through a computer browser or directly on a computer provided WhatsApp on the phone must be in an active state.

  • Voice and Video Calls: This feature can be used to make voice and video calls using an internet connection.

  • Photos and Videos: Educators and students can share photos and videos of the lesson with each other either personally or in groups.

  • Audio: Educators and students can use this feature to share sound files.

  • Documents: Educators and students can share documents regarding lesson -related assignments individually or in groups.

In conclusion, WhatsApp is a suitable learning tool for teachers and students because they can discuss and ask questions more casually. Teachers can also send documents, photos, audio or video as learning materials to students through WhatsApp groups. Teachers and students can view and repeat learning materials via mobile phone easily. Teachers and students can communicate anytime and anywhere.
